Arrive at Baltra Airport and cross the Itabaca Channel to Santa Cruz. Subject to your arrival time, visit a highland tortoise reserve with a guide before continuing to your hotel in Puerto Ayora.

Walk the visitor trail to Tortuga Bay for coastal scenery and beach time. This suggested independent day leaves room to relax. Ask for a guided visit or another activity if you prefer; swimming is only appropriate in designated areas and suitable conditions.

Consider a guided bay boat excursion with coastal stops and snorkeling where conditions allow. Keep the rest of the day flexible for Puerto Ayora or a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station. The exact bay route will be confirmed with the operator.

Transfer from Puerto Ayora across Santa Cruz, cross the Itabaca Channel and continue to Baltra Airport. Your departure arrangements follow your confirmed flight schedule.

Does a five-day Galapagos tour mean five full activity days?
No. The five days include arrival and departure, with four hotel nights on Santa Cruz. Flight times and airport transfers determine the time available on those travel days.
Can I visit another island without changing hotels?
Yes. The proposed route includes a boat day excursion to an available visitor site, returning to your Santa Cruz hotel. Your quote names the selected destination; the alternatives are not all included.
Is Isabela included in this itinerary?
Not in the suggested five-day route. Compare the seven- or eight-day itineraries for hotel nights on Isabela, or ask us to extend your stay.
Is this a fixed package?
No. This itinerary is a starting point. We adapt the trip before confirmation, subject to availability and practical travel arrangements.
What is included in the price?
